Administration

The Administration Department is responsible for supervising and coordinating the operations of all City functions.

The City of Monroe has a City Council/City Manager form of government.  Under this form of government, residents elect a Mayor and City Council, who then appoint a professional City Manager to oversee the day-to- day operations of the city.

City Council members are the community leaders and policy makers who establish a vision for Monroe, and who hire the manager to carry out policy and ensure that all residents are equitably served.
