Description

For the Victorians, who established many of the traditions we still associate with the celebration of Christmas, the holiday season brought out their slightly ghoulish sides as they delighted in the telling of seasonal ghost stories. In the "spirit" of the season, we will present dramatic readings of three such tales—in a poorly lit room, of course! Readings will take place at 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm.
In between the dramatic readings, visitors can take in the seasonal exhibits of our annual "Christmas at the Museum" celebration, or try one of several seasonal parlor games aimed at predicting ones future.
Please Note: We will be reading from original Victorian writings, and although we have chosen tales that do not include gory or graphic language, this program relates scary situations and is not suitable for young children.
This program is free and open to the public.
