07.07.2023 UPDATE and Question of the Day

QUESTION OF THE DAY 07.07.2023

"When is Waste Management collecting their recycling cart?"

The City is aware that many residents are still waiting for their Waste Management carts to be picked up. This lengthy and inconvenient delay was not expected and, as a result, Department of Public Service staff have stepped in to assist with collection.

Several DPS crews are out in neighborhoods across Monroe and will continue until the remaining carts have been collected. It is anticipated this will continue into next week.  We understand residents’ frustration and thank you for your continued patience throughout this process.

If you have any questions, please give the Department of Public Services a call at 734-384-9125.

07.05.2023 UPDATE and Question of the Day

Given the volume of the collection program, city staff will be assisting Waste Management this week and will have a city truck around the community retrieving their carts. We understand the frustration our residents are experiencing and appreciate your patience.

QUESTION OF THE DAY 07.05.2023

"I haven't received my Stevens Disposal Cart - what should I do?"
If you haven’t received your new cart, please call the Department of Public Services for assistance at 734-384-9125.

06.28.2023 UPDATE and Question of the Day

Waste Management is running behind collecting their recycling containers, so if yours has been emptied and not picked up, please continue to leave your carts out curbside until they are able to make it to your neighborhood.

QUESTION OF THE DAY 06.28.2023 -

"What do I do with my old trash cans?"
If you want to get rid of your old non-Stevens 35 gallon or smaller trash receptacles, you can either place them into the new brown Stevens cart for disposal, or, if they are recyclable, place them inside the new Stevens recycling cart. Recyclable plastics will have one of the following numbers: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
