Event runs from 5:30PM to 8:30PM. Tree will be lit at 7pm sharp!

Stop in at the Monroe County Museum for a festive holiday display, or visit our friends at River Raisin Centre for the Arts who will have an open lobby from 5:30 to 7:30 PM where you can view rehearsals for their upcoming production of the ℕ𝕦π•₯π•”π•£π•’π•”π•œπ•–π•£, or shop from a selection of curated vendors at their studio on 11 Washington Street!

Join us at the Tree Lighting as we kick off Monroe's Hometown Holiday Lights! Building on the tradition of the annual Tree Lighting, a new holiday light sculpture will be unveiled annually at the event!  Hometown Holiday Lights collaborates with local individuals, businesses and corporations to add holiday lighting elements and displays to bring the spirit of the season to Downtown Monroe.

HOMETOWN HOLIDAY LIGHTS

What is Monroe’s Hometown Holiday Lights? It is a celebration of the Christmas season in the City of Monroe!  Creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and inspiration sponsored by the support of our local businesses and corporations, a new exterior holiday light sculpture will be unveiled at the annual Tree Lighting event to bring the spirit of the season to Downtown Monroe!
