Firefighter-Paramedics WANTED
The City of Monroe is accepting applications for full-time Firefighter/Paramedic job vacancies.
Successful applicants will be responsible for providing ALS emergency medical first response and effective fire suppression and prevention services.
Minimum qualifications include:
• High School graduate
•
A valid State of Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License and good driving record
• Michigan Firefighter I & II (FFI&II) certification
• Current State of Michigan Paramedic license
• Hazmat operations level certification
• Residency within 20 miles of the City of Monroe’s boundaries is required within two years after employment
• Preferred candidates with Paramedic license
• Considering candidates with FFI&II w/ EMT that we will train to be paramedics. Also currently considering candidates with Paramedics license that we will train in FFI&II.
