Hellenberg Park

Park Hours: 6 AM – 10 PM.
Located directly on the River Raisin, Hellenberg Park has a many exciting features:
- A newer handicap accessible full basketball court is located close to the parking lot.
- A large parking lot and boat launch are available to launch small crafts.
- A large open space on the river provides a scenic play area. A picnic area includes a shelter, grills, and a play structure.
Shore fishing is plentiful and the adjacent fish passage on the river provides additional angler opportunity. Sterling Island is connected to the park by a short pedestrian bridge, providing a nature trail and additional shore fishing opportunities.
A historic marker describes the Battle of the River Raisin during the war of 1812. The River Raisin National Battlefield Park is right across the river.
